Hi Dradis !

Good !
I advise you to follow the step-by-step instructions of my tutorial http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=943

Is your Arduino installed in windows ? is the Com Port setup ? can you upload example sketches ?
The code is in the topic as well.

Once installed and loaded, you will be able to send instructions to Arduino and Motors

For beginning, start by sending yourself instructions to the Arduino and to your motors...
No need at this stage to use Xsim and Game's data !

In the "Serial Monitor" send the following strings in Hexa and Enter:
R7FL7F
-> it should move the playseat in horizontal position

R64L64
R3FL3F
R01L01 (max !!)
-> it should tilt the playseat backward and a bit further

R9BL9B
RC1LC1
RFFLFF (Max !!)
-> it should tilt the playseat forward and a bit further

You can mix for rolling mouvment :
R3FLC1
R01LFF (Max !!)
-> roll left

RC1L3F
RFFL01 (Max !!)
-> roll right

Can you share some pics ?

This PSU is only 17A for 12V... it's too weak indeed !
You'll have to look for stronger PSU ;) around 40 A

Hi ,

If you have a car battery you can test with it waiting for a stronger PSU. ;)

You can also use both in paralel ....

I'm kind of in the same boat. I have a joyrider off thanos design with wiper motors and pulley system. Have an arduino uno and a moto monster though. I used your code and it works with the pots. But I can't get it to stop when the pots stop. Please help

Hi,
have you tried to reverse the motorcables? Does it work with pot not mounted directly to the motor?

Hi Erikeasu!

Did you follow the steps I indicated here first hardware tests and trials?
what did you succeed? where are you stuck?

Racingmat,

yes I did try your steps, and have it turning nonstop, but then I cant seem to get it to stop when it is suppose to, when you say "check the wiring" what do I need to check, and reverse which wires, the pots, or motor. my wiper motor has 5 wires with the original plug from the truck I pulled it from. I am only using two wires. the purple(high speed) and the ground(black wire) there is a yellow(low speed) and a red and brown that I didn't hook up. when I tried it to a battery the only wires that did anything was purple yellow and black. sorry to be so dumb about this, its all so overwhelming to a newbie. Im not trying to hijack this post either, just need some desperate advice.

thanks a lot.

erik

when I enter the serial commands it doesn't seem to do anything but keep turning unless I move the pot to the middle, which it stops. my comports are correct. I am using one pc also. its a custom I5 8gb with NVidia 650.

please be patient with my ignorance on this
