wipers + pololu jrk 12 loses power and moves.

Postby mariant » Thu 21. Nov 2013, 14:24

Hi, i recently finished my 2 dof wiper sim. Im going to make a full set by step of my setup, with many pictures.
Im facing an annoying problem, everything works fine when i start to play, but after a few laps, it starts to lose power and moves, only remaining crashes for example.
This happens in every game. if i restart all, this means, reseting de pc, i just works fine again, but after minutes the problem arrives.
Im very lost with this.
Any help wolud be great.

- Can you post a screenshot of your Converter profile, with forces setup for each axis?
- What's the condition of wipers, new, used?

I'm thinking it can be profiling problem, have you unchecked the option "Use automatic maximum adjustment" once you found maximum values? Because if that option is checked and you have crashed, the numbers will be very high and later you will not feel normal motion, just crashes.

Let's start with profile settings, that we can search for problem somewhere else if profiles are good.

I dont have my comuter right now, because im at work, but:

Ill post my setup and converter values when arrive home.
Y hace longitudinal and lateral force (27 and 25 options)
My wipers are used, but i restored them like new. New brushes, grease, etc.
When i left the game, and test them with pololu software, just works fine, even after an hour of use.
I realise, while driving, that if i dont hit anything and race slow, seems to everything goes right, but after a hard wall crash, the problem appears.
You where right, seems to be profile.
I cant find "Use automatic maximum adjustment" like you said.
By the way, when running smooth, y turn left o right, the sim have too much movment, it would be great to have more progresive motion, but think that need profiling and converter work.
Im new in this, sorry for my dum questions.
And sorry about my english, im from Argentina.
