Arduino UNO and Motor shield

So we recently started this project for school and here's what we have so far:

Arduino UNO - http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardUno
Motor Shield - http://www.ladyada.net/make/mshield/

Can anyone be of assistance on how to get these to work with the X-Sim Extractor/Converter software, it would be much appreciated! Thanks 8)
