Because my economy at the moment isn't that good my goal is to build it mostly with used parts from scrapheaps and such.
I know its quite a challenge but also a lot of fun.

I have gathered some Freq drives so far and they are 2 Yaskawa VS Mini and one Vs Mini J7. The plan is to build a 3Dof or maybe 2Dof with tractionloss because the setup is mostly for car simulation. The problem is that i have very basic knowledge about this drives. I will use a Arduinio R3 as a "PLC" and build Or buy some basic circuit to convert the pwm signals to 0-10v freq and optocouplers for directions as some other builders have done before. My question is how exactly do i connect it to the VFD's input? I will post a picture of the drive schematic and inputs.
From what i understand you must trigger the inputs with a signal from the VFD voltage to output by external optocoupler transistors and activate the inputs for direction of motor. On other brands for example the Allen Bradley they have a 24Vdc output that triggers this but i dont see how it can be done with the yaskawa VFD? can i use the S1-S2 for this or how does it work?
