Actuators... Help needed, please!

Postby simulatoruser » Sun 21. Oct 2012, 03:42

Hello everybody my name's Dmitry and yes, I'm Russian.

Since I'm a complete beginner here and I have problems with communication language, I expect your possible support with things I encountered with when I first touched upon the subject of motion simulator games.
There’re several issues at hand I’d very like to have a full answer to, so please, don't be mad on my English.

1. Actuators for commercial use:
Which ones are better? (Consider it’s used by both kids and adults of various complections and sizes). Where to get such an actuator and what’s the price for it? How the price might very basing upon the specification of each model?

4. Where to get a full set of spare parts for a 2-actuators’ commercial use system? I desperately need chords, cables, couplings, programmes, actuators, etc. I need to get everything except for displays, computers, chairs, or support frames. Assistance will be appreciated.

5. Which commercial use actuator is the best?

6. What are the minimal and advanced requirements to the computer for a game to run?

Thank you for your patience.

Scn 5, 6 are the most common to hook up.
Another member can advise on this.

I am currently testing re-motored brick actuators, ETH series.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXUR-kTz6YY using 12v motors and JRKs, but I am still looking for available replacements at a reasonable price.
$1100 each without motors is a bit steep, even though they move 40kg each easy.

PC, all one one, usually a quad core, with 8 gig ram, or 2 pcs of at least a dual core each.
