[Fixed] Safari browser problems

Postby eldeejay » Wed 1. Aug 2012, 09:02

Good morning, I wanted to report that with the browser "Safari" from Apple, the forum does not work correctly. Details I've seen so far:
- The user panel is not displayed.
- The pictures published in the post are not displayed, and you see the warning "do not have permission to access files released"
- When you login, the forum reports that "the login is successful" but I get the impression that you're not really loged.

I have checked this problem using Mozilla Firefox and I.Explorer in both browsers run all ok.

regards

I won't have access to a system with safari before monday, I'll see if I can reproduce the problem than.

In the meantime I hope you won't mind using Firefox (which is a better browser anyway ;))

I was able to reproduce this problem and it's due to the message posted on the portal

Due to some updates it might be possible that you experience problems loging in. If this problem occurs please clear all browser cookies: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cookies this should fix the problem.

In my case in Safari this required three steps:

• Go to the "History" tab and clear the history
• Go to the "Safari" tab and empty the cache
• Go to the "Safari" tab -> "Preferences" -> "Privacy" and remove all website data.

That did the trick for me, please let me know if it works for you as well.

Edit: another solution might be to clear all cookies through the user control panel (on the right in the bottom grey bar): ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies
