I did not vote because I did not understand the difference ...
for me it is not very different and very important step.
Like many people, I find the project section not clear visually, and not very practical.
for the rest I think it's great.
I also think that language is a problem.
I doing a big work in France on the French forum "Racingfr" to help people. because the language is a problem.
I think that with this help, all the French who have a simulator and use XSIM Thanks to me and other who have also followed.
I think there are other more important problems.
Communication.
technical support.
language.
coordinate work and with the help of the moderators for each section (for example)
For translations, I'm not the best, yet I have helped with a little help: the translation of such section USO with friends.
it's on it are certainly people can easily make translations.

motiondave wrote:For website design and translation, is there an option to set up the site so as we can select a language? Say from a list a the top? I do recall seeing it done on some sites. Not simulator related though.

@ Motiondave,
I was also thinking it would be great to have the possibility to choose the language from the top of the site. The passion for building simulators do not choose language, this passion is at the heart of many in many places of this world, they know English or not.

@ Tfou57,
An interesting test we are doing this, the test is to put the messages in English and in original language they were written.

In my case I use the translator of Google Chrome, I understand more clearly the message that Tfou57 wrote in French. French> Portuguese is much better than French> English> Portuguese. I am not against English with primary language, but we have to think of alternative ways for people who do not speak English and is dependent on the google translator.

The worst problem that I face are the wrong words written in English, these words written wrong in the middle of the sentence are not translated and sometimes, leave sentences entirely meaningless.

@ motiondave,

@ Tonquites
I'm glad you understand the meaning of my request for the content of X-Sim forums.
The text of the post is understandable when it is written in the mother tongue of X-Simmer
I propose that the approval of all the contents of posts are written in 2 ways depending on the language spoken and written courarement

Case 1: The X-Simmer speaks and writes fluent English
The post that is written in English:
- The X-Simers English speakers will interact easily
(100% comprehension of the post)
- The X-Simmers may result in non-English Google
(75% comprehension of the post)

2nd: (My case!) The X-Simmer not speak and does not write English fluently
The post is written in two languages:
* The first top part, the post which has been translated into English by Google
* Second part, after the English text, the text of the post in the mother tongue of X-Simmer. Of course the beginning of this second part begins with the clear designation of the language used to enable efficient translation by Google
a) - X-Simmers English speakers will have the option to read the post
* Be decrypted part of the post previously translated into English by the issuer's post
* Either translate the second part of the post in English via Google
The possibility of a post translated by two different methods will sometimes make a clarification of some passage of post
(100% comprehension of the post)
b) - X-Simmers may result in non-English Google
(75% comprehension of the post for all X-Simmer using a language other than the issuer of the post)
(100% comprehension of post-Simmer for X of the same nationality as the issuer of the post)
I also propose that in the profile shown at the left post, the language used in the second half of the posts in case of an X-Simmer non-English

My goal is that everyone will understand better the forum and thus the exchange of information on simulators or technical assistance to program X-Sim is richer.
Greetings to all!
Long live X-Sim3

Post en français
@tonquites

What should be changed in my opinion is that a new post to an existing thread does appear on the landing page. The way it is right now a new reply to an old topic is added to the end of the thread which might be hundreds of lines down the heap (just think of the famous "Tronic's AMC motor motion-controller with pwm/servo output" thread that started back in 2007. A new post would never be visible today).
Similarly posts about projects don't make it to the front page, which I find is a pity.
Can this behaviour of the "Recent posts" window be changed?

Problem is that a lot of people have a lot of good ideas, but forget a few very important things:

• This is a (new) community set-up by privateers/volunteers, not a professional organization with tons of money to hire programmers etc.
• We need to take things one at a time and start with a simple and solid base, more features lead to more problems.
• This topic is about what to do- and what is possible "now" not about future features that might have to- or could be implemented

So please stick to the topic for now, language divisions etc. as mentioned simply aren't possible for *
Posting topics in 2 languages is a good idea if people who post in a different language are willing to e.g. use tags in their topic titles like: [FR] My first build or [GER] My 2dof wiper motor sim etc. but always add an english translation to it. (good way for them to learn english as well ;))

@floriske
I voted "Neither one, other, reason (please post replies as Reason)" to report the problem of understanding the text I énnonçé in my previous posts.
Other than that I quite agree with the proposed Option 1 vote
Thank you for enabling X-Simmers of their posts published in two languages to facilitate translation (English language and the X-Simmer)

Texte en Français
@floriske
