Hi, I am about to embark on building a sim and would like some advice on the best set-up as i'm a little confused due to all the various ways of construction, mainly on the electronics side of the build. I am building it with a 3DOF platform using wiper motors as the actuators are out of my price budget, its going to be based around 2 projects of other members on here. The first 1 is built from member RacingMat based on X-sim / Arduino / Motomonster / with truck wiper motors. I have read his post on his build and found it an excellent tutorial to get started for a noob like myself. The other build is by Tronicgr using the Thanos AMC1.6 which I would have to build myself. My question is this, both projects look relatively straight forward to build, 1 is all bought products and 1 is self made, does anybody know what the difference in performance is for both methods. if the performance of the arduino is relatively equal to that of the ANC1.6 then obviously the Arduino is going to be the chosen method as they are cheap and already built. Also the sim is going to be used for both racing and flight sim games and therefore I want to build 1 capable of both. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tony.
