Rfactor 1 - Blocking wheels

Postby Jeremy1998 » Wed 23. May 2018, 11:13

Hello,

We are French students working on a Formula simulator as part of our internship. Our subject is to improve the simulator so that the pilot feels the real sensations. Currently, there is not feeling in the brake pedal and we would like to make feel the sensation when the wheels are locked because of a too much braking. We are currently using X-sim with rFactor 1 and Arduino. Nevertheless, we need the wheels’ speed thereby to create a program with Arduino which would operate a pneumatic jack, but we don’t have this data. Could you please let us know if there is a way to get the wheels’ speed or if you think about an other solution to detect the blocking wheels ?

Thank you. :)

Use simhub, you can mount rumble motors on your pedals and send blocking wheel signal to them, you can also use a fan and with speed signal use it as wind simulator:)use rumble motors from an old controller like ps3 or xbox.you need also an arduino and a motor shield.all together cost max 10 euro.use youtube how to.
