simbolrider wired simulator out of business

Postby ferslash » Fri 20. Jul 2012, 17:47

i found this simulator from the project www.simbolrides.com

it seams that they are out of business since there are no new post in their website since 2011, and they have not a link for sales :D (i wonder what is the reason for having a website like this without a sales link?)

i really like this simulator, because of the "simplicity" and space saving...

imagin the face of your wife if you put a little grate joyrider just in the midle of your tv room :D yeah! grate!...

but in the other hand, this little desing, can be "camouflaged" with the reast of your furniture. (kind of) :D

they say that the seat is compatible with x-sim

i would like to know how they move the seat...? any ideas..?? (i mean the base is a triangle)

Kept an eye on this for months and it never changed from "Coming "Soon" !!

If you want something similar then take a look at http://www.joyridesimulators.com/

and how does the simbolrides moves??? since the base is a triangle ??? i mean the flex kind of desing always is moved from the rear of the seat, the seat movers are moved from "under" the seat, but non of this last configurations allows a triangle base.!

(by the way i really liked the joyride design, but still can't be camuflated to the tv room furniture, i mean the simbolrider seams like a lassyboy=

It uses a vertical rod attached on the bottom of the chair, that is pulled-pushed horizontally by two motors.

The way it works, is getting TOO unbalanced, and the more angle the more stress for the motors to hold the weight!!!! :? I can't imagine it making fast motion or providing shaking (road surface bumps etc...). The only thing it could be used is for Helicopter Simulator, and that's it!!!
