Evotek - Sym 026

Postby yokoyoko » Thu 14. Feb 2013, 18:32

I was searching on Assetto Corsa videos on youtube. I found the Evotek 026 using this title already :x . I browsed on their website and saw the specs.

On this I want to discuss. :? Their chart looks wrong to me but may be I am wrong. Looking forward to hear your opinion. Perhaps someone calculates and get the same result as me :lol: [to make it more easy on "uniformly accelerated motion" (even if not the reality)]

Best regards

:roll:

I posted a chart that is shown on their website. They posted "speed" two times - but as one is [m/s] (real speed) the other is 2G (what speed is 2G?). I wonder if they mean 2G -> a=19,62 [m/s²]?

How do they get this result at 50mm travel and a speed of 0,127m/s? I get totally different numbers...

I see.

If they have ±50 mm travel and they accelerate with 2G, the end position is reached after sqrt(2*0.1/(2*9.81)) = 0.1 sec
d = 0,5 · a · t² → t= sqrt(2d/a) with d = distance = 0.1 m, a = acceleration = 19.6 m/sec², t = time, G = acceleration of gravity, v = speed

After 0.1 sec acceleration @ 2G the speed would be 2 m/sec
v = a · t

This table seems to be really confused or misleading, indeed.
