sirnoname wrote:So what do you want, what is the goal of this?

pcars64.exe with x-sim?
pcars64 started with steam and X-Sim?
or any pcars 32 bit solution with autodetection over steam?

tell me which and I tell you how!

The goal of this is :

1- the best way to launch pcars minimizing the cpu load .As reported in my previous post when using the notepad and after pcars the cpu load is the smallest as I noticed.

2- learning to launch pcars with autodetection over steam as you suggested and hoping that I can achieve also the smallest cpu load as via notepad !

Thanks

Example open game wizard and added this manually:

Plugin V5
64 bit
55% CPU Load in practice, I use 1280x1024 windowed mode. (sorry I do not have a highend PC)
56% running without x-sim.
Bad thing, you have to close the extractor after the game has finished ;)

Example with steam 64 bit start:

56% CPU load.
Same with close detection, you have to close the extractor.

No, simple open Game wizard and press advanced, select game with ... and fill the rest. Press add, thats it. You can have multiple entries. Dont use the existing one (from autodetect) and do not try to edit the existing one.

ps. I did exchange the notepad workaround with the extractor exe. If using notepad you can control of course the program close detection.
You may use steam.exe and close after a game steam to get back the blue button if you like.
With 32 bit you can add the pCars.exe file and it will be detected. Only a 64 bit program exe cannot be found from a 32 bit X-Sim. However I think about a scanwindow parameter to solve this as the scanexe parameter is at the moment.

I made both and both worked.
I have to click on the play button to launche the game right? 'it's not yet the autodetection functiion ?It.s just to be sure i didn't forget something.
I would prefer the fists one because i never exceed 80 % cpu load.
and the diffeence i noticed is that with the first one it indicated in extractor window ''patch of game "" 3.0.0.0 and the second one method indicated patch of game 2.0.0.0.

generally if a new update from game goes out you have to make a new search to have the right patch of game or it's not important to do that because the right game exe is always pointed?

Hi guys, I´m having some problems with Pcars and X-Sim need some help. One of the problem is that extractor stop sending information to converter, normally when playing for about 30 minutes and needs to restart.

The other problem I have is that FPS goes down suddenly for about 10 seconds like slow motion and then it turns to fast motion for about 2 seconds. This only happens when I´m executing Pcars and extractor, I have test executing Pcars without extractor and have not this problem.

Here is the link of the video I have record when it happens.

https://youtu.be/jaWJ13hWFow

I´m using original game, W10 and V5 pluggin.

The CPU and GPU load are under 70% when problem happens, also test with lower resolution and the problems stills.

Sounds like CPU throtling because of hot temperature. Did you check with AIDA or other thermal tool?

Thanks for the reply!

In gameplay, max temperature is 64 degrees, I'm using amd fx-8350 with evo 212 cooler.

Searching on internet found some people with same problem owning my same motherboard (asrock extreme 3 r2) so I have disabled cpu thermal throttle, but seems that the problem is vrm temp too high.

Also, today have the same problem ("slow motion") without using X-Sim, so I discard X-Sim is involved in this.

I will test this config, but it seems that the best solution will be motherboard replacement.

Thanks!
