here some brief infos on my sim-project:
I started with a sketchup, to checkout if the dimensions are fitting. Actually, the upper section of the overhead needs to be cutted... but it seems to fit.

Next Step is to get the SW tested: For this I've built up a "demonstrator" to check out the input devices, the sim-SW and the output devices - vision and the power actuators control-input. ...

About 80% complete. Thinking about offering it as a kit. Let me know what you think.

An abandon 20mm chipboard was uses for this project. Once the various pieces were cut, I proceeded with drawing lines for joining them together. Then drilled holes for the wood screws (3-4mm by 50mm).

i have started my 2dof project.

Here are my starting parts:

1 x Arduino R3 Uno
2 x IBT - 2
1 x 12v 29 A Output Power Supply

I welded the chair holder and assembled the universal joint on the front.

I was lucky to get 2 of the universal joints for 25 Euro incl. shiping.

I have 2 wippermotors from ebay for together 40 Euro. Grounded them
already and put a construction ...

I have the potentiometers in the center, so the motors are stopped up to here everything correct. I present my DIY G-Seat simulator.

It based on G-Seat system. The purpose is to generate G-force on pilote with almost no movement.
The bucket seat is slice in 3 parts. The backrest is a the only fixed part, seat and the top of the seat (behind the shoulder) are mobile parts.

Bottom of seat transcribe longitudinal G-force, top of the seat combine longitudinal/lateral G-force.
