rfactor2 Occulus CV1 Steam Vr

Postby JensGo » Thu 31. Oct 2019, 20:27

Hello,

i am waiting for hardware parts so i used the time to get the software running. after several hours rfactor2, assetto corsa and competizione these programs send data to the extractor. i flashed an arduino nano with latest xpid.ino

then i tried to use the games with rift.
asetto corsa is runnig fine <- native occulus support

rfactor 2 has no native support for occulus i have to use the openvr interface.
a) i used original openvr_api.dll -> steamvr is needed i get an error no vr headset found
b) usually i use a special version of opencomposite openvr api. i get an error too .

extractor and XSimRF2Plugin_64.dll dont like openvr / steamvr.

is there a walkaround ?

RF2 must like any plugin in its folder.
What is happening exactly.
Make a share and provide your plugin folder for reproduction.

RF2 must like any plugin in its folder.

?
What is happening exactly.

i start extractor, converter is loaded automatically. i choose rfactor2 in extractor programm and press start button
rf2 is starting ---- rf2 launcher is ready,

when i start single or multiplayer mode i get an error and am again at the launcher

i removed rFactor2SharedMemoryMapPlugin64.dll and DRSShiftBeeps.dll to check if there are problems with xsim plugin . i did not help.

when i deactivate the vr support and use single screen. xsim is working.

For a test, use this option without start RF2 from X-Sim:
https://www.x-sim.de/manual/autoscan.html
It is in the motion driver dialog.

Maybe a problem or hangup with the memory driver direct X injection. Do not use this or the force feedback driver.
A restart of the PC is never wrong to start from fresh.
