Hello there,

After lurking for a while, I finally decided to build my own racing simulator.
Thanks to some of you and Vicpopo in particular, I am able to get into the right direction with the equipment list.

I am doing a frustrating quest to find the motors that I will be using.
While there are many choices out there, only a few will meet our requirements.

I look forward to starting a new thread ...

this is my homemade cockpit.
The motion simulator is constructed on the basis of the combination Velleman VM110(K8055) + Sabertooth 2x25A + wiper motor.

there has been a few questions about getting the extractor to work so we can play a game.

After perusing this site for a while, I have now decided to build a new racing simulation platform.
I am thinking putting a motor on each corner of a seat/pedals platform, not sure if that makes it a 4dof or not.

Like most everybody here, while I am dreaming looking at some of the very expensive components that can be purchased right now with a simple swipe of my credit card, I unfortunately do not ...

After finally finishing this project here's my "finished project" topic! I've reversed the update back to the original building sequence so people can read from start to end.

Hi, I just registered in this forum.
I have a problem I have to solve:

I built a 6DOF with serve motor (PWM) and use the Pololu Maestro card to move the motors. I was able to move the motors but currently moving only 90 degrees. How can I convert the movement of the motors serves 180 degrees?

First this community ROCKS! Every1 doing great SIMs!!!

So I've decided to start building my sim too . My setup going to be like this, any comment, suggestion appreciated:

First i need to choose which build to go.
I want to build something like this>>>>:

, but i think i can't use here wiper motors?? I think i need winch motors, but maybe im wrong????
