Original Rock’n’Ride (RnR) Interface substitute

Hi There, Hopefully I've posted in the right place !

I have a Rock’n’Ride Simulator with the original Interface and unfortunately the PC that ran it was given to someone to fix (before I obtained it) and never returned. I have the original drivers and game that I'm fairly sure ran on a Windows XP machine . I setup a PC Running Windows 7 and installed X-Sim and used sirnonames instructions ...

Sanity check please regarding serial/USB output Sanity check please regarding serial/USB output

I am making an instrument cluster, as many have done before me. It's a learning exercise, so I haven't taken the easiest route...and although I've got the later stuff worked out, I'm stuck at a fairly fundamental bit

I am struggling with the X-Sim USO serial/USB output - I have it talking to an Arduino using the COM port so things should be simple. As far ...

Power supply keeps tripping

Hi Guys,

I finally got my AMC 1.6 to talk to my computer, and everything is coming along just beautifully. So, today I spent some time building a power supply for my sim (an old 750W server psu), and I am using the Pololu Dual VNH2SP30 driver with a HUGE heat sink to drive my motors.

Now, just connecting everything up and running the AMC turns the motors on, but the moment I run either ...

Ordering the AMC PCB board online - Confusing... Ordering the AMC PCB board online - Confusing...

Hello there,

I am starting my project and trying to order the PCB for the latest version of the AMC 1.6 board.
I am assuming that the latest version of the files is located here:
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=132

I am not used to PCB making and I am a little bit confused with what options are needed when doing a board.
I can see options like Copper size, 1Oz or 2Oz, ...

new X-Sim motion controller

Hi all,

Im thinking to gather x-sim community pros to build our own controller, simple because we all need
cheaper, more reliable solution then jrk12v12 or others...,
We can make ours controler or diver for motors.

For example:
I'm working in EMS company ,there is thousands of components, manufacture-assembly line. (it will only cost my extra time ;] )
So:
- I can give and get LOTS of cheap components, almost all for AMC1.6 etc... ...

50A Digital DC PWM Motor Speed Controller

Hey Guys,

Like I said in the Introduce yourself post, i'm doing a "kind of" motion simulator for my end-of-study project (projet de fin d'étude).
Before coming on this forum, I was thinking of using an Arduino controller since one off my collegues had one to lend me.
Althought from what I've read here, jrk's seems the way to go.

However, i'm thinking of using Motion Dynamics worm gear motor 12v 180 rpm (any inputs ...

USO datapacket, Servmotor from 90° to 180°

Hi, I just registered in this forum.
I have a problem I have to solve:

I built a 6DOF with serve motor (PWM) and use the Pololu Maestro card to move the motors. I was able to move the motors but currently moving only 90 degrees. How can I convert the movement of the motors serves 180 degrees?

Thanks
Antonio
