I am very new to sim racing and have been using a static setup that I knocked up myself, not great but got me started.

I would really love a motion sim but I nearly passed out when I saw the prices!

I think the only way forward is me building one myself and I was hoping for some advice.

There seems to be several different types, actuators, windscreen motors, pneumatic etc but ...

Hey, i have a problem with my logitech g27 steering wheel race 07 and x-sim.
I have installed the wheel on windows7 and installed the logitech profiler. Now my problem is when i start race07 over x-extractor. The wheel works for 2 minutes. But after that it doesnt react anymore. Are there some setti gs to do in x-sim? Do i have to close the logitech profiler?

I would like to try to see the motion of a SCN5 while I play with rfactor demo (or eventually another free game).

I inform you about my setup:

One acutator SCN5 (150mm)

serial communication with serial/USB converter

when I start Xsim converter the actuator is detected automatically without any problem.

I have copied the .dll from "xsim/plugin" to "rfactor/plugin" folder

When I start rFactor by X Sim extractor and push start button ...

Are u not sick with the actuator noise! :D

I put the games so loud and put surround balance to rear and still here the damn things.
I think it takes the artificial realism away from the experience.


Has someone come up with their own solution apart from head phones.

Any one like built a board with sound reflecting material? Does this work?

This game is poor with sli gtx480.
Crash problems because only by force rendering it kicks in the sli otherwise only 1 gpu gets used.

I hope they sort it out for the final games.

Hi guys/girls a..after few month busy at work..desided to fly my sim..ran xtractor/converter fsx splash screen comes up and no responded..I ran fsx by itself and it load up no problem try it again thru xtractor wont load...help please..just tryed again and FSUIPC4 third party error..if I run it with out it runs ....and with it doesnt responded..
