News of Motion simulator building Q&A

Hello folks,
AFTER two years of watching this and the "other first" forum, and a lot of research, I'm finally starting next weekend with buying the steel to start the fabrication. Me "thinks" I have that pretty well under control with the mechanical build - this will be a 3DOF with 1hp AC motors and Boston Gearheads, which I have, as well as the u-joint etc.

i was just wondering if a (snubbing)capacitor for DC motors is useful or simply a must have. I have read, that snubbing capacitors reduce the electrical noise, which is definitely usefull, isnt it? Do you run your motors with/without capacitors?
How does it effect other electrical components such as driver-, Controler-board, psu, feedback pots? Any experience?

I would like to know if Xsim 3 also offers separated output signals for two axis motion sim, since most xsim based simulators work in joint xy direction so that both motors move motion simulator simultaneously in mixed axis (diagonal) motion (simforce type motion simulator).

So i would like to make simulator that has left-right motion inside 'cradle' for base of up down-motion frame and they would simulate diagonal forces with cooperative but separated ...

Concept layout

I am planning a 3DOF racing simulator operated by three SCN5-150, running X-Sim 3 and connected through a Devantech USN-RS485 interface.
