USO datapacket, Servmotor from 90° to 180°

Hi, I just registered in this forum.
I have a problem I have to solve:

I built a 6DOF with serve motor (PWM) and use the Pololu Maestro card to move the motors. I was able to move the motors but currently moving only 90 degrees. How can I convert the movement of the motors serves 180 degrees?

Thanks
Antonio

Motion Hardware Interface Plugin help

Hi Guys

I asked this question over at x-simulator_de but the silence was deafening.

My intention is to build a 3DOF motion platorm mainly for racing sims.
I have at my disposial a bunch of indrustrial Servo motors, drives, power supplies and gear boxes sitting around and I intend to utiluse these in my simulator.

The problem I have is my servo drives have +10V to -10V DC velocity input signal requirement. 0v being no ...

Stereoscopic (3D) Ride film motion simulator

Hi,

I recently designed a stereoscopic projection system for watching 3D films in my house.
The system is composed of a high-end PC with dual graphics card, 2 projectors with polarizing filters (the same kind used in IMAX cinemas) and a silver screen.

I've now decided to extend the system to include some form of a motion simulator so I can recreate a similar experience to that in a theme park (please note that I ...

Order of turning on simulator components

I am close to finish my simulator and I want to ask what is the order to turn on components - X-Sim software, control board and motors. I am using K8055 board with Sabertooth, Wipers and X-Sim 3.0.0.7b, Win7 x64. Here are my scenarios:

Nr.1
I plug-in K8055 USB and if I turn on motors, they start immediately to turn.

Nr. 2
I plug-in K8055 USB, open X-Sim Converter, turn on motors and they also ...

2DOF Motor Problem

hi

for my 2DOF Simulator I am using two 24VDC motors with 500W power.

But these motors are no worm motors like the most here use. They are normal DC motors.

The problem is:

When I sit in my racing seat, the 2 motors can only move the simulator from the lowest to the highest position if I make a extreme full-power configuration.
But I cannot use this configuration for the simulation of racing games ...

Motion adjustment

Hi all,

I finally finish building my sim. I have 2 wiper motors, one JRK each and running xsim 3. I have all of the info provide here to setup JRK in the utility, and also setup the axes in xsim. I have download steam version of F1 2012. Everything works so far but I find that my sim seems to have a slower response then the game. example I am taking a turn once ...

JRK 12v12 versus other pololu boards

Question!

Why does everyone use JRK 12v12s? Is it because they have the easy serial/usb interface for sending control data?

Something like http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/760 can do 36V15 for about 60% of the cost. It seems like the only thing you'd need is a microcontroller running a PID controller to send the data. Is that the only reason why more people don't use it?
